Redland City Council is encouraging individuals, schools, local businesses, and community groups across the city to get involved in Clean Up Australia Day 2025. Registrations are closing 11th February 2025 on mainland, and Tuesday 4th February 2025 on the Islands to be eligible for a Council bin. Trials to allow residents to recycle their used drink containers in public areas has been expanded to incorporate more parks, reserves and open spaces across the Redlands Coast mainland. Mayor Jos Mitchell said these exchange points were helping to reduce litter and improve recycling, whilst making it easier for the community to cash in on the 10cent refund offered through the Containers for Change scheme.
